This virtual memorial was created to help us not only remember our fallen firefighters but to also give a face to the names that we hear in news reports, or in passing conversation at the fire station. Sometimes we know that a firefighter has died but we never find out who it was or what his life was about. This virtual memorial will give you a peek at the life of a firefighter or EMS personnel who was taken from this life too soon.

Charles "Lance" Mathew Lance was struck and killed by a tractor trailer when he stepped out onto the road to try and reach an accident scene, Lance loved the fire service and he loved his family. His nephew was his pride and joy.
